The Huntingdon Valley and Bryn Athyn fire companies were dispatched on the afternoon of Sunday, October 13 for a house fire.
Crews found smoke and a small fire on the second floor.
“As we wrap up Fire Prevention week, take a minute and make sure your detectors are in good working order and you’ve changed the batteries recently,” HVFC said in a post. “If you need a detector, please reach out to us or the Lower Moreland Township’s Fire Marshal.”

In related news, the La Mott Fire Company of Cheltenham Township announced today that it teamed up with the Glenside Fire Company to put out a car fire last week.
“We want to thank the driver for getting as close as he could to the fire hydrant!” the company said in a post.
