Huntingdon Valley Fire Company ousts morning garage fire

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company announced that crews were dispatched at 6:51am on Monday, December 16 for a dwelling fire on the 3000 block of Hogeland Lane (Upper Moreland Township).

According to their post, the fire was confined to the attached garage and no injuries were reported.

“Crews pulled a hand line to the garage to extinguish the fire and a second line to the front door. After checking for extension crews deployed fans for ventilation due to extensive smoke damage to the home and overhaul of the garage,” the company said.


Apparatuses on scene included Engine 8, Squad 11, Engine 11, Quint 35, Ladder 95, Bucks Ladder 2, Bucks Rescue 4 (RIT), Bucks Ladder 1, Bucks Ladder 90, Bucks Engine 91, and 8 Fire Police, the company said.

Fire marshals from Abington Township and Cheltenham Township assisted the Lower Moreland Fire Marshal with the investigation.
