Home of freelance musician, former Abington school board member feat. by The Inquirer

Tim and Tracy Panella of Abington Township were recently featured by The Philadelphia Inquirer for the changes made to their home of the past six years.

According to the article, the two-story, 2,400 sf home was built in 1920 and includes a primary bedroom suite, a wooded backyard with a koi pond, and a pub-like bar in the basement.

The Panellas have renovated the upstairs bathroom, the dining room, a playroom, and fireplace. The basement now houses a music studio for Tim, a freelance musician.

They also replaced a two-story wooden deck with a three-story composite deck.

“We wanted additional living space,” Tim told The Inquirer. “It feels like a tree house when the trees are full and the waterfall is running in the pond.”

Jenkintown-based AquaReale installed a waterfall in the pond in front of the house.

“I love being near the water,” Tracy (pictured on the left below), a former member of Abington’s school board, said. “It’s a calm and tranquil happy place.”
