Hidden City did a spotlight on the Hollywood section of Abington. You may have noticed Hollywood while driving through Abington Township by the Californian street names or the bungalows that would seem to be a better fit for the landscape of the West Coast.
Evidently, around the time of the Great Depression, developer Gustav Weber came up with the idea for the neighborhood after a trip to Los Angeles and observing the Spanish revival bungalows that were in vogue at the time. Unfortunately, like many others, Weber went bankrupt due to the Depression.
