The National Weather Service is forecasting a large storm in greater Glenside to close out the weekend.
“Windy conditions may cause isolated instances of tree damage and power outages on Sunday and Monday,” the agency said.
Up to 3/4 inch of rain is expected to begin around 8:00am on Sunday with temperatures in the low 60s. Wind speeds are expected to be 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
A possible thunderstorm is called for Sunday night after 11:00pm and then again after 2:00am. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Monday’s forecast has rain before 8:00am and strong winds throughout the day. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Sunday’s Accuweather forecast is calling for “damaging wind and heavy rain” on Sunday, with conditions clearing up on Monday.
