The Hatboro Police Department announced today the arrest of Scott Myers, 38, for resisting arrest and assaulting law enforcement officers, among other charges.
According to the report, on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 11, a Hatboro officer stopped a vehicle associated with an individual, later identified as Myers, who had an active arrest warrant from the State of Delaware. As officers began to take Myers into custody, he shifted the vehicle into drive and tried to escape while the officer was partially in the open driver’s window.
The vehicle became disabled and Myers continued to physically resist and assault the officers attempting to place him in handcuffs. The officers were eventually able to gain control of Myers, after which he was arraigned and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, police said.
The arrest took place at E County Line Road and Oakdale Avenue. A preliminary hearing is pending, the report said. Myers’ charges are below:
