Hatboro police arrest 2 juveniles for breaking into multiple vehicles

The Hatboro Police Department announced the arrest of two juveniles who broke into multiple vehicles within the borough on January 10.

According to the report, the department received a 911 call in the early morning hours from a resident of Earl Lane reporting that their vehicle had been broken into. Responding officers canvassed the area and located two additional vehicles on Earl Lane that had been broken into.

Shortly after, the same officers observed two individuals enter an Uber in close proximity to the break ins.  The officers made contact and learned that they were two juveniles, both of whom were not from the area and were dressed in all black clothing with black face coverings and a black backpack. They were questioned and released from the scene, police said.

Surveillance video revealed the two juveniles that were contacted by Hatboro officers were the same individuals breaking into the vehicles. They were subsequently petitioned to juvenile court for these offenses.

Because both of the offenders are juveniles, their names are being withheld from this release, police said.
