Hatboro-Horsham schools warn residents of SAT scammers, Hatboro native named the district’s ‘Favorite Teacher’

The Hatboro-Horsham School District announced this morning that school officials have received reports of scammers calling families to offer SAT prep services.

According to their post, the callers claim to be from the Hatboro-Horsham School District.

“Our district does NOT make unsolicited calls about district offerings or request payment over the phone,” the post said. “If you receive these calls, hang up immediately and do not provide personal or financial information. Legitimate district communications come through official channels only.”

In related news, Heather Brzezinski, a Hatboro native and fourth grade teacher at Crooked Billet Elementary (pictured above), has been selected as the district’s “Favorite Teacher” following a search for nominations from Hatboro Borough. She has been awarded a 2025 Pool Membership.

Brzezinski began her 26-year career with Hatboro-Horsham at Pennypack Elementary School.

“Heather is a beloved teacher by students, parents, and colleagues alike and has made a lasting impact on generations of students throughout the years. Those who nominated Heather praised Heather’s passion for teaching and going above and beyond for her students,” the district said in a statement. “In her classroom, students not only learn the curriculum, but are taught how to be kind, compassionate human beings. To quote one of the nominations, Heather embodies love, home, and our community all in one.”

In other news, parents and guardians are invited to Hat Chat & Sip with Superintendent Dr. Scott Eveslage on Wednesday, August 20, at 5:00pm in the Community Room of the New Keith Valley Middle School.

RSVP by August 17 to ABarbor@Hatboro-Horsham.org.
