Harry Gramlich of Glenside heading to trial for involuntary manslaughter and neglect in connection with brother’s death

Glenside resident Harry A. Gramlich, 73, is heading to trial for charges of involuntary manslaughter and neglect in connection with 2020 death of his 52-year-old brother, Timothy, who had Down syndrome. If convicted, he faces a possible maximum sentence of 12.5 to 25 years in prison.

Elizabeth Anne Gramlich, his sister, plead guilty in August to felony charges related to Timothy’s death.

According to The Reporter, Gramlich “stared passively straight ahead and showed no emotion in court as prosecutors presented sometimes unsettling evidence that they allege showed he neglected his younger brother who had Down syndrome and who died of an untreated medical condition.”

The nonjury trial is expected to last several days, The Reporter said.
