Friday, October 28
Halloween Social & Trunk or Treat: Diverse Dance Company is hosting a Halloween Social & Trunk or Treat from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at 400 York Road, Jenkintown. The event will feature a Halloween Dance Party with DJ Amber. Participants may compete for prizes and wear Halloween costumes for the contest. There will be a $5 admission fee, which will include snacks, drinks, raffle baskets and giveaways.
PALoween III: Abington PAL is hosting PALoween III from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at the Philmont Country Club, 301 Tomlinson Road, Huntingdon Valley. The event will include food, wine, beer, silent and live auctions, photographed sports memorabilia, sporting event tickets, craft beer baskets, designer handbags, and entertainment. A prize will be awarded for Best Costume. Costumes are encouraged but not required. The Phillies game will be played throughout the event. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Hiway Theater in Jenkintown will be showing “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” at 9:45pm. There will be prizes and free passes for the winners of a Halloween Costume contest before the screening. A ticket stub comes with $5 drafts at Human Robot Jenkintown all evening. Human Robot will be selling canned beer during the show. Tickets can be found here.
Saturday, October 29
Night of the Gabaghouls: The Keswick Theatre will host a “Night of the Gabaghouls” at 8:00pm. The show will be featuring Pete Correale, Tammy Pescatelli, Adam Ferrara, and 102.9 WMGK ‘s John DeBella. Tickets can be found here.
Bands in the Boneyard: The Abington Marching Ghosts will host Bands in the Boneyard at 5:30pm at the Schwarzman Stadium in Abington. The event will feature 12 regional marching bands, including the Abington Marching Ghosts. Cost: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors & students, $45 for a family. Kids under 3 get in for free.
The Shining: The Hiway Theater will be screening the iconic Kubrick film “The Shining” at 7:00pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
Sunday, October 30
Halloween Haunted House & Trunk or Treat: Rooted Tree Productions will host its second annual Halloween Haunted House & Trunk or Treat from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the North Penn VFW, 2519 Jenkintown Road, Glenside. The event will include a DJ dance party, a haunted house and a costume parade. Cost: $5 per person; children under 3 get in free.
Beer & Beer Plus Cornhole Tournament: The Glenside Youth Athletic Club (GYAC) is hosting its first annual Beer & Beer Plus Cornhole Tournament from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Knights of Columbus, 235 Limekiln Pike, Glenside. The afternoon will include Eagles football, a silent auction, raffles, and a cornhole tournament with a cash prize for winners. Food from local restaurants and vendors will be provided. There will also be face painting and a Halloween costume contest for kids. Cost: Beef & Beer only ($30 per person); cornhole tournament ($40 per team). Kids get in free.
