The first of two major groundbreakings this week will take place this morning, November 1st, at 11:00 AM at 486 North Tyson Avenue in Glenside. This location is near the intersection of Tyson Avenue and Jenkintown Road.
The occasion is the official start of construction for the Edge Hill Road/Tyson Avenue Improvement Project.
This construction project is being led by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) with support from a number of other entities.
According to PennDOT, Mr. George Dunheimer, Assistant Executive for Construction for District 6 of PennDOT, State Senator Art Haywood, State Representative Madeleine Dean, and other local officials will join together for the “groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of a project to improve travel, safety and drainage on Edge Hill Road and Tyson Avenue in Abington Township.”
