The Lower Moreland Township and Jenkintown School Districts have been ranked top 50 in the state this year, according to an analysis by Niche, a Pittsburgh-based firm which provides in-depth metrics of schools and neighborhoods.
To determine its rankings, Niche analyzed more than 11,000 school districts nationwide using quantitative data from sources like the U.S. Department of Education, and factoring in extracurricular activities, college prep, test scores, diversity and student-teacher ratios.
Greater Glenside districts received the following state rankings:
- #30: Lower Moreland
- #31: Jenkintown
- #53: Abington
- #76: Springfield Township
- #77: Cheltenham
- #111: Upper Moreland
Among Catholic high schools, La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor came in at #5, and Germantown Academy of Fort Washington came in at #17.
Among private K-12 schools, Abington Friends came in at #16 in the state.
