Governor Wolf shares that he would “pull the plug” on reopening schools if necessary

Yesterday Governor Wolf held a press conference that was mainly focused on new restrictions on restaurants and bars due to climbing Coronavirus cases totals across the state.

A reporter asked him whether he was willing to “pull the plug” on reopening schools in six weeks if the case totals aren’t brought down and parents and teachers’ concerns aren’t addressed.

Wolf responded that he was willing to “pull the plug” on reopening schools if the number of cases isn’t brought under control. However, he said that he feels that because teachers and parents may choose to not go back due to their concerns, schools not reopening may not be due to an action he takes.
