Governor Josh Shapiro of Abington is still the most popular government official in Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
According to the story, Shapiro has a higher favorability rating than Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump, “and even Pennsylvania’s own superstar Taylor Swift,” according to a new poll published by the Inquirer, New York Times, and Siena College.
Approximately 59% of likely Pennsylvania voters “strongly approve” or “somewhat approve” of Shapiro’s leadership as governor compared to Harris (51%), Trump (45%), and Swift (46%).
Swift’s inclusion in the poll is due to her widely watched political impact, the Inquirer said, noting that “Shapiro is a Swiftie”.
“I love what I do,” Shapiro said after the conclusion of the veepstakes. “I love that I get to do it on my terms.”
