Moody Jones Gallery of Glenside will debut their latest solo exhibition, titled “Cadences of Color: An Emotional Voyage” on November 4.
The body of work on display has been created by notable artist Calvin A. Coleman II. An opening reception will take place from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Coleman, a self-taught artist, pulls inspiration from artists with many different backgrounds, particularly English sculptor Henry Moore, Russian Abstract Expressionist Nicholas De Stael and American artist Richard Mayhew.
His works have been included in numerous public and private collections and publications, including:
- The Embassy of Rome, Italy
- The permanent collection of the City of Atlanta Housing and Urban Development
- Lincoln University (PA)
- Drexel University
- Loyola University (Karson Institute)
- The GE Healthcare Corporate Office
Coleman has been commissioned by:
- State of Maryland
- Lincoln University
- Verizon Wireless and Global Hue
He authored his latest project and publication, “Coleman His Art Story,” a book that shares his process and insights on the creation of his works. Other works by Coleman can be seen on his website: calvincoleman.bigcartel.com.
Calvin A. Coleman II currently resides in Baltimore where he continues his quest to become the absolute best artist he can be while expanding his creativity to evoke emotions from those that view his gifted works.
