Glenside’s inaugural St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival fundraiser nets $3K, seeking sponsors

The Glenside St. Patrick’s Day Association raised roughly $3,000 on Saturday, September 28 for the inaugural St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival.

The fundraiser was held at Jerzee’s Sports Bar & Pizzaria and featured performances by the Natterjacks band and Cummins Irish Dance School (both pictured below). The funds came from a combination of raffle baskets, 50/50, and T-shirt sales, organizers said.

“We had a huge turnout,” Tom Hendel of Glenside said, noting that future fundraiser events will be announced soon. “On behalf of the SPD Committee we are always so grateful for any donations to our non-profit, all volunteer group. The money raised goes right back to our community to ensure a fun, family friendly, and safe event. We appreciate any and all help, including the continued support and spirit from Glenside. Thank you so much.”

The Glenside St. Patrick’s Day Association is currently looking for more sponsors. The lineup as of now includes Tom Hendel Realtor with Keller Williams, Marry Me Philadelphia & Keswick Collective, Law Offices of Foehl & Eyre, William R. May Funeral Home, and Dramactive Arts.

Lastly, organizers said a raffle basket winner didn’t claim their prize. The winning number was 1389350.
