The Downtown Glenside Foundation will host the first annual Howl-O-Ween Promenade on Saturday, October 22 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The ‘pawsome’ event, which includes a dog costume parade and contest, raises funds for the Home at Last Dog Rescue in Lansdale.

The promenade will feature pet vendors, family activities, and live music from the Planets. In the spirit of Halloween, treat bags will be available for creation.

The parade will make its way down Wesley Avenue at noon. Contest awards and honors include Best Costume, Best Trick, Best Strut, and Waggiest Tail, and features known public figures as judges, including Cheltenham commissioner Matt Areman, Cheltenham Township Fire Marshal Scott Lynch, CPD Sergeant Jeff Murphy, Dreams Ice Cream owner Lamar Smith, and Maureen Haff, president of the Downtown Glenside Foundation and the owner of Sweet Magnolia. Sweet Magnolia is creating gift baskets for contest winners.

Parade check-in is from 11:00 to 11:45, or you can buy tickets online through Eventbrite. October 29 has been chosen as a rain date.
