The revamped Glenside Pub Crawl has been scheduled for Thursday, May 25 from 5:30pm – Closing Time.
The 2023 “Club 80s” theme promises to deliver on its tried-and-true offerings of medals, giveaways, and awards.
The pub lineup also has a new pitstop: The Royal Music & Art Center. The Royal will provide pub crawlers with an 80s-themed karaoke/dance party, beer from The Ways, snacks, and more.
“With our transition to a non-profit, we’re looking to do more community events, and we wanted to bring the element of entertainment to the Glenside Pub Crawl,” Bridgett Gordon, The Royal’s executive director, said. “We think this is a nice way to add to the tradition.”
Chuck Dougherty, the Crawl’s long-time organizer, is excited to bring out the best of Glenside.
“I think it’s a really fun way to bring recognition and awareness to all the great bars we have in the area,” Chuck said. “That’s what it’s made for, to highlight some of what we have going on in town.”
To ramp up the 80s vibe, suggested wardrobe options might look something like this:
