Michael Siani, a Glenside native and a Major/Minor League Baseball outfielder since 2018, has been sporting a new uniform since March.
According to MLB.com, Siani, now 26, was optioned to the AAA Oklahoma City Comets to begin the regular season after being scooped up off waivers by the Los Angeles Dodgers in early February. The Comets are an affiliate of the Dodgers.
He previously played in the majors for the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals, with whom he hit his first major league homerun in 2024. He played in 19 games for St. Louis in 2025, going 4-for-17 (.235) with two walks.

In related news, Samuel James “Sammy” Siani, Michael’s younger brother, was assigned to the Arkansas Travelers in December after he was signed to a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners. He became a free agent in November 2025 and previously played for the Altoona Curve, according to MLB.com.

Michael, Sammy, and Jake are sons of Ralph and Kristen Siani, owners of Ralph’s Barber Shop in downtown Glenside.
