GameStop at the Willow Grove Park Mall has permanently closed, part of company’s efforts to downsize

The GameStop store at the Willow Grove Park Mall (2500 W. Moreland Road, Upper Moreland Township), permanently closed on Wednesday, January 7, according to various sources.

The store’s closure is part of the company’s downsizing efforts which includes the shutting down of 300 locations nationwide. A blog tracking GameStop closings throughout the U.S. can be found here.

Additional stores in Pennsylvania are scheduled to shut down Tuesday, January 14, according to a company list. The retailer has not announced whether additional Pennsylvania locations could be affected later this year.

The company stated in a December Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it would close a “significant number of additional stores” in the 2025 fiscal year, which ends January 31.

The Willow Grove location is listed as “Permanently closed” in Google.
