Quite a few water main breaks were reported by Cheltenham Township today and have since been shut down. The current list of the breaks are below. Please check for updated information  at  Cheltenham Twp Emergency Management Facebook Page

At the location of Cheltenham Avenue and Coventry Road, a 6” line ruptured causing some damage to the sidewalk and the road.
At the intersection of Old Soldiers and Woodland, the water main break created a sinkhole which a Township Salt truck later fell into.
At 7830 Old York Road, another water line ruptured with no further details at this time. In addition, the township has been receiving several calls with reports of residential lines that have burst and are causing icing conditions.  The following roads have been reported icy. Webb & Old York Rd., Keenan & Cheltenham Ave, Sycamore Avenue, Chelsea Road in the Alley, and Mt. Carmel Ave. Aqua is working diligently to repair the lines and restore the service.
