Friends of High School Park looking for outdoor installation art proposals

The Friends of High School Park are currently soliciting submissions for their 2022 Summer Outdoor Art Series. Proposals for the installation of outdoor works of art should consider how the work will survive the elements, remain substantially maintenance free during the exhibition period, and engage with the community through an activity and/or information shared through their website and social media accounts. Because the park is an open space, they unfortunately cannot guarantee security for the works.

Proposals can be made by individual artists, partnerships, or groups. The goal is to encourage works that will attract visitors to connect with the site. A stipend of $250 will be awarded to chosen proposals to offset material and labor costs. Exhibition periods will range from 2- 4 weeks in length during the months of June, July and August 2022.
