FOX29’s Bob Kelly punched in the face in Sea Isle City pub

FOX 29’s Bob Kelly appeared on Good Day Philadelphia on Tuesday morning after being assaulted at a pub in Sea Isle City Sunday.

“Thank you so much for all of the messages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, cell phone, texting, all concerned about me,” Kelly said. “I’m OK.”

The incident took place on Sunday as Kelly was hosting an event at Oar House Pub in Sea Isle City. According to The Inquirer, “Kelly was assaulted by a young man who had filmed himself pouring beer on the longtime Philly TV personality. The fan punched Kelly in the face before being caught by bouncers and later arrested. The damage to Kelly’s face was visible during his TV spot Tuesday morning.”

Kelly said the incident was incited by a TikTok challenge.

Sea Isle Police have yet to release any information about the suspect, who sources say was arrested after being apprehended by the pub’s bouncers.
