Temple Health’s Fox Chase Cancer Center will open a $4 million satellite infusion pharmacy on Friday and a treatment infusion center is in the works, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
The new pharmacy is part of a renovation project at its main campus at 333 Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia. The 4,000 sf space previously used by the medical records department now has the capacity to mix 500 chemotherapy infusions a day.
According to the story, the 25,000 sf Advanced Treatment Center project will increase its number of infusion chairs by roughly 25% from 41 to 51. It will also include larger infusion bays, exam rooms and nurse stations, and house four theranostics rooms. A cost estimate for the total project has not been finalized, hospital officials said.

The center’s new patients have increased from 9,000 in fiscal year 2021 to 18,000 in fiscal 2024. Fox Chase’s revenue increased from $509 million in fiscal 2019 to $817 million in fiscal 2024, the Journal said.
In June 2024, the center received a $10.8 million donation to support pancreatic cancer services and research.
