Kelly’s Classroom on Fox 29 visited schools in the Abington School District. Fox’s Bob Kelly was at Copper Beech Elementary for the first day of school with the Cougar Carl and the 5th and 6th graders this morning. The segment at Copper Beech aired live on Good Day Philadelphia. The 5th and 6th graders had a blast with Fox as they shouted and cheered to see which grade could make more noise and there was lots of dancing.
Copper Beech is the largest elementary school in Abington with 1,100 students, and there are seven 5th grade classes and six 6th grade classes. The Fox crew also filmed a segment at the Junior High and a segment at the Senior High. The Abington Junior High segment will air tonight at 5 pm and the Abington Senior High story will air on Saturday’s Good Day Weekend which airs Saturdays from 7:00 am to 8:45 am.
