Dig Inn, a popular restaurant chain which is expected to open within the Noble Town Center (901 Old York Road in the Jenkintown section of Abington Township) in September, was featured today by NBC10.
According to NBC10’s coverage, Dig Inn currently has a Rittenhouse Square and University City location in Philadelphia, and expects to open another in Ardmore in early August.
“We’re incredibly proud to open two new Dig Inn locations in the Philadelphia suburbs,” Tracy Kim, CEO of Dig Inn wrote. “From day one, our mission has been rooted in nourishing communities, not just through real food, but by showing up for the people of the community. Partnering with local food pantries for our grand openings allows us to give back in a meaningful way and reinforce our ongoing commitment to supporting those who make each community such a special place.”
A social media post from Schorn Construction on Friday says that work is underway on the storefront and progressing smoothly:
Things have really begun to fly out at DIG in Flourtown! Walls are up and in wall MEP rough-ins are underway. Ductwork is getting hung and spirits are high on this job! We are about halfway through with this fitout and looking forward to the big push to finish!
According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the restaurant will occupy 2,444 square feet and have a 54-person capacity.
The forthcoming restaurant is one of eight new Noble Town Center tenants. Ulta Beauty, Salon Republic, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, and FunCity Trampoline Park signed this month. A Honeygrow restaurant, a LaserAway treatment center, and a Shake Shack signed with Dig Inn in March.
Lisa Vassallo, Paramount Realty’s Director of Marketing, told Glenside Local that developers tentatively expect to open the Honeygrow towards the end of August, LaserAway in August, the DIG in September, and the Shake Shack in October.
