The Fort Washington Fire Company announced today that Engine 88 was dispatched at 4:30am on Tuesday, December 3 to assist the Warrington Fire Company with a large mulch fire at Victory Gardens on Pickertown Road.
According to the post, the mulch fire had been burning since Monday. Units supplied water to tankers for roughly 2.5 hours.
Bryn Athyn Fire Company noted that lieutenant Ben Cranch and firefighter Heath Pitcairn were on scene as well “to provide lighting at a very large/stubborn mulch fire in Warrington Township. They did not return to the station until 5:30 this morning,” their post said.
