Matthew Nathaniel Hairston-Johnston, a 39-year-old former resident of Upper Dublin, was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison on charges of stalking, terroristic threats, harassment, making a false 911 call and impersonating a public servant in connection with incidents that occurred between August and September 2024, The Reporter said.

According to their coverage, Hairston-Johnston, who was living most recently in East Norriton, previously served time behind bars for stalking two women. He served a six-year sentence for stalking an ex-girlfriend from Bridgeport in 2018 and was convicted in 2011 for stalking a Lower Merion woman who was a former girlfriend.

He was convicted of the above charges in April “after he concocted a sophisticated scheme to send threatening and harassing messages to a third ex-girlfriend and her new paramour in Upper Dublin” in August and September of 2024. The Pottstown Mercury said. “The harassment began after the woman, who once dated Hairston-Johnston, was awarded full custody of their daughter.”

He allegedly sent 450 text messages from 90 different phone numbers and called his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend from 80 different phone numbers. He also created a fictional female persona he called “Kristen” and initiated a false 911 call that sent Upper Dublin police to his ex-girlfriend’s residence, The Mercury said.
