This weekend, a massive storm moving west to east may bring up to two inches of rain in our area, with flooding possible late Saturday into early Sunday in areas with poor drainage.
The heaviest rainfall is expected to be over the Philadelphia metro area and into New Jersey and Delaware, forecasters said.
“Expect steady rain, heavy at times, Saturday afternoon through much of Saturday night before it tapers off early Sunday,” said the National Weather Service, adding that the chance of showers lingers into Sunday.
Heavier rain is expected to begin around 3:00pm on Saturday. The National Weather Service‘s weekend forecast is below:

Rain, mainly after 2pm. High near 56. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Rain. Low around 49. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
