Forecasters increase total snowfall, 4-6″ expected on Friday

The National Weather Service has updated their predictions for the incoming winter storm.

Forecasters had originally called for 1-3 inches of total snowfall for Friday, January 19. That number has since increased to 4-6 inches.

From their announcement:

It’s going to snow on Friday! Look for snow to break out early Friday morning, and continue much of the day. Some southern and coastal portions of our area will have milder air that will keep some rain mixing in or limit accumulations, mainly Friday morning, before colder air works in. Friday night through the weekend will turn very brisk and cold in the wake of the storm.
