Flourtown Fire Company assists with late night vehicle rescue, victim helicoptered to trauma center

Flourtown Fire Company’s Squad 6, Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company, police, EMS, and Chief 29 were dispatched to the 9200 block of Ridge Pike for a vehicle rescue at 3:12am on Saturday, February 15.

According to Flourtown Fire Company’s post, one person was entrapped in the accident.

Squad 6 performed an extrication within 5 minutes of arrival by removing the driver’s door, and Rescue 29 was diverted to secure a helicopter landing zone.


The victim was transported via medical helicopter to a trauma center.

No further information is available on the condition of the victim, officials said.
