The Abington Township Police Association recently announced that six emergency vehicles delivered over 120 pre-made bags of food and $900 in donations to three local food banks as a result of the First Responders Food Drive on Saturday, July 15.
The drive was held at Giant grocery stores in Roslyn and Huntingdon Valley. Community members were invited to help fill first responder vehicles with donated items.
From their Facebook post:
The members of the ATPA and CAPT would like to thank Giant for providing us with the premade food bags and partnering up with us. Thank you to Second Alarmers, McKinley and Roslyn Fire Companies for their support, donations and participation. Thank you to our great community for providing the food and money that will help our local food banks and families in need!
