Fire companies were dispatched to Cheltenham High School at approximately 1:00pm on Tuesday, April 2 for a report of a fire.
According to Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania (EASP), the source of the fire was a pottery kiln. The incident was upgraded from an Automatic Fire Alarm, officials said.
Engine 1, Engine 1-1, Engine 1-2, Snorkel 82, Engine 302, Squad 3, Engine 2, Quint 99, and Ladder 400 were dispatched, EASP said.
A subsequent comment noted that the fire was extinguished “with a smoke condition”.
