The Abington Police Department announced that a fight among numerous students erupted inside Abington Senior High School at approximately 11:28am on Thursday, September 14, resulting in the arrest and charging of eight juveniles with Riot and Simple Assault.

The situation was brought under control as a result of the swift and coordinated response of an Abington Police School Resource Officer, school personnel, and the school’s security team. Together, they managed to restore order and bring the altercation to an end.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Abington Police Department in cooperation with the Abington School District and may lead to additional charges against other students implicated in the incident.

There were no serious injuries incurred by police, staff members, or students as a result of this incident.
