Abington/Jenkintown native Bradley Cooper has two homes within striking distance of the ongoing wildfires in the Pacific Palisades section of Los Angeles, The New York Times reported.
Cooper has yet to comment on social media about their status. Other celebrities with homes in the neighborhood include Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Aniston.
TMZ recently reported that a home owned by reality television stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag was completely consumed. The Morning Star reported that Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Paris Hilton, Cameron Mathison, and Billy Crystal have lost their homes to the flames.
The fires began in Pacific Palisades on January 7 and quickly spread to Malibu and Santa Monica, before four more fires began to ravage other neighborhoods in L.A.
David Barrett, a fire commander and executive director of My Safe LA, a nonprofit focused on fire safety education, said it was too early to make predictions about how much real estate had been destroyed.
“The fire fight is still ongoing,” he said. “Anything anyone says about the number of homes lost is really premature.”
Last month, Cooper’s new Philly cheesesteak shop, dubbed Danny and Coop’s Cheesesteak, officially opened for business in New York City. News of Cooper’s purchase of a home in New Hope, Bucks County first surfaced in December 2023.
