Officials on behalf of Weldon Fire Company’s R300, Abington Police Department, and Roslyn Fire Company were dispatched at approximately 12:15am Saturday morning to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment on the 1200 block of Fitzwatertown Road in Abington.

According to officials, the accident resulted in fatal injuries to the operator of the vehicle. No passengers were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, though speed seemed to be a factor, officials said.
