A fatal crash took place in Lower Moreland Township on Monday night, NBC10 reported.

A Ford Mustang crashed into a deer in the eastbound lanes of I-276 around 7:00pm, which caused the vehicle’s roof to detach. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Officials have not yet revealed the victim’s identity.

Officials closed I-276’s eastbound lanes between the Willow Grove and Bensalem exits for nearly three hours. The roadway was reopened around 10:00pm.
