Courtney Erin Kasche, 36, of Upper Merion Township, pleaded guilty this week to embezzling more than $25,000 from Circle Lodge Inc., a Norristown-based nonprofit organization that serves adults living with mental health challenges, Mainline Media News reported.
According to the story, she was hired as executive director of Circle Lodge in October 2022 and remained in that position until her release in May 2024. Officials alleged she used the money to make personal Amazon purchases during that time.
Kasche’s charges, which include theft by unlawful taking and access device fraud unauthorized use of credit card, could result in a possible maximum sentence of 7 to 14 years in prison, Mainline Media said.
