Exciting Details for the Fifth Annual Downtown Glenside Arts Festival

The 5th Annual Downtown Glenside Arts Festival will be here before you know it, so mark you calendars. On Saturday, April 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 5 :00 p.m, more than sixty established and emerging artists and crafters from around the region will be on  Easton Road and Glenside Avenue, in celebration of the arts and Earth Day. The festival will feature crafts, food, entertainment, Earth Day activities, and wine tasting.

The entertainment crew, has scheduled an exciting line up for the day. First, will be Sons of Pitch And Up the Octave from Cheltenham High School. Watch this talented group of students, rock out to Queen’s “Somebody To Love” and NO, they are not using instruments, its all done with vocals.

Following, will be Skip and Chickie  performing and last but of course not least, will be the very popular performers, By Any Means. (B.A.M.)

Another exciting feature of the festival is the Glenside Train Station mural project, that will be in production between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The famous Artist, David Guinn and the Arcadia Apprenticeship Students invite you to come watch them in action while they begin the second part of the train station makeover, which will be on the opposite side of last year’s incredible work.

Other activities scheduled include car decorating with Moody Jones Gallery, kids zone, and educational activities that celebrate Earth Day. Festival partners include the Downtown Glenside Community Partnership, the Downtown Glenside Foundation, Arcadia University, Cheltenham Township, and Sustainable Cheltenham.

The Downtown Arts Festival is easily accessible by train (Glenside Train Station), bus, or car.
