The purpose of this event is twofold; to unify Jenkintown and surrounding communities by providing school supplies to families in need and to engage with community members for a Day-Of-Fun. Affinity understands that education breaks the bonds of poverty and we understand the commitment needed to enrich the communities we service. On Friday, August 25, 2023 our School-Supply-Drive Block Party will give community members the opportunity to have a celebration before the 2023-24 school years begins. We plan to provide a DJ, Bouncy-house, free school supplies (Bookbags, pencils, pens, notebooks, tissues), blood pressure and blood sugar checks, raffles, a food truck and other goodies. And even an opportunity for employment to those who are passionate about homecare. The mission of Affinity’s Community Engagement team is to encourage and provide needed services to Jenkintown and the surrounding communities.
