Hosted By Rep. Steve McCarter
Took place on Monday, April 22nd, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Springfield Township Administration Building
1510 Paper Mill Rd. in Wyndmoor
Representative Steve McCarter invites constituents to a public hearing about the future of nuclear energy in Pennsylvania, and to discuss its pros and its cons. From his recent email announcement: With climate change accelerating, we in Pennsylvania must reduce emissions by turning to energy sources like wind and solar. That much is clear. But where does nuclear power, which is also carbon-free, fit into the mix? That will be our topic of discussion Monday, which is Earth Day. It should be a lively, very informative afternoon. The hearing will feature two panels composed of proponents of nuclear power, environmentalists and representatives from labor. There will be time for public questions at the end of each panel discussion. Rep. McCarter requests you calls his office at (215) 572-5210 to RSVP.
