The Old York Road Symphony is celebrating the opening of its 87th year under the direction of Maestro Jack Moore, with the brilliant cellist, Jesús A. Morales. Mr. Morales will perform The Schumann Cello Concerto Op. 129. Jesús A. Morales was born into a prominent musical family and is an active soloist, recording artist, and chamber musician. He currently serves as cello professor with ArCoNet and Temple University, and has an active private studio. As a member of the Dalí Quartet, Jesus is on faculty at West Chester University as part of the quartet's residency. The New York Concert Review hailed him as a soloist “in a category above many cellists of today … inspired and captivating.” The orchestra will also perform the Sibelius Symphony No. 2 and the Brahms Tragic Overture. Please join us for this evening of wonderful music performed by one of America’s oldest continuously performing community orchestras.
