  • Brave Hearts for Strong Minds (BHSM) is gathering to celebrate the 7th Annual Walk to support children who have lost a parent. BHSM was established to honor Tom Reilly, a beloved community member who passed away in 2011 leaving behind a wife and four young children. We are gathering at the Flourtown Pavilion to take a 1.5 mile walk as a community to remember Clinton Cunningham, husband and father of four young children: Kerrilyn (11), Devon (10), CJ (8), Sean (3). Clinton tragically passed in 2018 after a sudden brain aneurysm. Proceeds from the event fund the Cunningham children’s 529 education savings plans. Online registration for the walk closes on May 29, 2019, and can be completed at "More Details" link below. Losing an income-earning parent can severely impact a family’s ability to pay for everyday expenses, let alone education costs. Tom Reilly was a man who gave everything to the community and, in his honor, the community wanted to continue this tradition of care for others through providing for the education needs of children who have lost a parent - relieving some of the burden that a family in this unimaginable situation feels. Tom inspired his community to give back to families in similar situations through this annual walk. Joan Hill, Executive Director, Brave Hearts for Strong Minds Andrea Wentzell, Board Member, Brave Hearts for Strong Minds Saturday, June 15, 2019 Registration Opens at 9:00 AM
