The Garden Railway at Morris Arboretum & Gardens turns 25 years old this year, and in every one of those years it has seen new tweaks and upgrades. The Railway brings together the art of creating an enchanting miniature landscape and precision engineering to keep a network of trains running—and now, visitors and families have the chance to look backstage and discover how it all comes together. Join one of the Garden Railway’s own rail masters to learn how to handle and assemble the trains, operate the railroad tracks, and supervise the railway. Participants will not only come away with a new perspective on the Garden Railway, but with the skills to become a railway volunteer and be one of the many people who make this extraordinary exhibition possible.
