The 5k will serve as a fundraiser for C.A.P.T. — Citizens and Police Together — an Abington-based nonprofit that brings together citizen volunteers and police to support community projects within the township, focusing in large part of programs that benefit local youths. The 24 Hour Relay, which started annually in 1992, was canceled due to the pandemic. The 24 Hour relay is C.A.P.T’s biggest fundraiser.  In order to continue funding for our programs for the next year, we decided to do a warm up for the 24 Hour Relay. The money that’s raised at this event goes right back into the community.
