Arcadia Exhibitions Presents “A Cordial Invitation from The Guild of Sassy Men: An Immersive Animation Experience” Judith Taylor Gallery, Arcadia University, Landman Library October 10 – November 11, 2019 GLENSIDE, PA (2019) — Arcadia Exhibitions is pleased to present “A Cordial Invitation from The Guild of Sassy Men: An Immersive Animation Experience” in the Judith Taylor Gallery October 10th – November 11, 2019. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 10th from 6 PM-9 PM. Desserts will be served. Both the event and the exhibition are free and open to the public. “A Cordial Invitation from The Guild of Sassy Men”, offers viewers a glimpse inside a world that never quite left the Rococo movement behind. One can take a look into this fictive glitzy sassy society, and their esteemed Guild of Sassy Men. Within the exhibition, one can observe the interesting characters the Guild Represents, and be immersed in some of the Guild’s most successful entrepreneurial investments. The show created by Dominique Masia, a Pre-Art therapy major and Animation minor at Arcadia University, will be her first solo exhibition and the first public reveal of her series of interconnecting animation works. Three Animated Shorts will be on display as well as animated digital portraits that will activate when one scans the piece on their tablet within the “Artivive” app. This innovative app allows animations to be triggered within a framed piece of solid artwork, or expand into the gallery space itself via tablet viewing.
