Seeking election as Abington Township’s Glenside Ward 13 commissioner, Ellen Thornton Staerk will launch her fall campaign with a “Glenside Friends for Steark” food and beverages social on Wednesday, September 6 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at North Penn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 676, located at 2519 Jenkintown Road.

Musical entertainment will be by Glenside guitar soloist John McNutt.

Making her first bid for elective office, Mrs. Staerk is a local businesswoman, long-time realtor and community volunteer who lives with her family on Sylvania Avenue in Glenside. She was nominated as a commissioner candidate in the May 17 primary election.
