Elkins Park’s ‘The Flower Mama’ to be featured at 2024 Philadelphia Flower Show

The Flower Mama, a boutique floral arrangement service in Elkins Park, will be featured at the Philadelphia Flower Show in March.

Owner Maeve Gavin, a former director of events for Philadelphia Magazine, and her flower truck, a 1959 VW Transporter nicknamed Rosebud, will be selling the company’s trademark bouquets during the showcase.

“The reception to Rosebud, and the Flower Mama business as a whole, has been overwhelmingly positive,” Gavin said. “More than ever, people are looking for something unique to add to their events, and having a vintage 65-year-old VW Transporter that you can pluck flowers from definitely does the trick. It can be a fun-tivity while also serving as a beautiful favor that guests actually enjoy receiving.”

The Flower Show runs March 2 to 10. Gavin’s flower truck will be located right outside the Grand Hall and available every day from 9:00am to 8:00pm (6:00pm on the final show day) for custom bouquet-building.
