Four organ recipients nicknamed “The Four Heartbeats” will raise awareness by celebrating their now lifelong bond on Sunday, April 27, at the Navy Yard for the Gift of Life Donor Dash walk, run and fundraiser, CBS News reported.

The group met at Jefferson Hospital in 2023 thanks to the Gift of Life Donor Program and recently gathered at the Elkins Park home of 73-year-old Rose Schmidt. They often celebrate family holidays together, encourage others to register to be donors, and dispel myths about organ donation, CBS said.
