John Conner, an Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township) resident and leader of the Praise Is The Cure breast cancer advocacy group, was featured by CBS News this week.

Conner lost his 68-year-old wife Anita in August from complications due to breast cancer. Anita was a Glenside native, Abington High School graduate, and cofounder of Praise Is The Cure.

Conner also lost his 48-year-old daughter Kerri of Jenkintown to breast cancer in 2022.

Praise is the Cure celebrated its 20th anniversary today with an event focused on health, healing and hope at Salem Baptist Church of Abington.
